Thoughts are valuable. This column is specially meant for ‘sharing your thoughts’. Very often a thought crosses our mind; and, we are cocksure that it was a wonderful thought that could be helpful to many persons, if not to the whole world. When we feel like looking at it back, it is not there. So soon we have lost the thought and we feel bad about it.

Sometimes we cherish a thought and are very certain that it would be valuable to the people. But we would like to work on it, develop it and present it beautifully; but we never get time to do it and the idea goes away from our minds once for all.

Thoughts are like seeds. In Plant Kingdom the seeds spread fast through air or water or even with the help of insects and birds. Seeds are not meant for remaining where they appeared in the first instance. The ideal environmental support for it is waiting somewhere else; sometimes in a very distant place! Then, why we should arrest our thoughts and refrain from expressing them because of our own mental inhibitions?

If only we share our thoughts, which we consider good and useful, with others without holding it back, they may reach the person who is waiting to build on it.

Dynamic Youth readers may share their thoughts, at whatever stage they are, here in this column. Let us remember, even for great empires, the seed has been only a good thought expressed in time and acted upon with passion and commitment.

Thought for this month – March 2010

The reason why you don’t put your hand in the fire is not because of fear. It is because you know that you will get burned. You don’t need fear to avoid unnecessary danger – just a minimum of intelligence and common sense. For such practical matters it is useful to apply the lessons learned in the past.

Eckhart Tolle

Many people try to justify their fears saying that the fear is Nature’s gift to prevent us from unnecessary dangers. This argument is not correct. It is our knowledge that strengthens us and provides protection from foolish activities.
